You will also need the following utensils:

A mold (you can choose the shape): you can cut the base of a bottle or a brick of milk, but do not use an aluminum mold.
Protective goggles for handling caustic soda.
A whip.
A saucepan.
A glass container.
A wooden spoon to stir.

The preparation.
Cover the bottom of the mold with lavender flowers first; they will appear on top of the soap when you unmold the whole.
Put on your protective eyewear and act with caution: place the glass container in a sink and pour caustic soda and then distilled water in order to avoid splashing. This mixture will trigger a reaction that will produce vapors: it is better to let it rest until it cools down. We also recommend that you do so near a window to ventilate the room during and after the operation.

Then pour the oil into a saucepan and heat over low heat. When warm, at 40 ÂșC, remove the pan from the heat and add the caustic soda carefully. Beat with a whisk without splashing until a thick, gel-like mixture forms.
At this point, before the mixture cools, add 20 or 30 drops of essential oil of lavender and other lavender flowers, then stir.

Pour the mixture into the mold and add other lavender flowers to have both sides of the soap.
Cover it with a cloth to keep it warm and ensure a good saponification. Let the mold rest until it cools (about 12 or 24 hours), without stirring or moving the mold.

Once the mixture has cooled, you can unmold your soap! Leave it in a cool, dry place so it can harden for a month and a half to two months.

If you like the result, you can do more next time by multiplying the quantity of the ingredients proportionally and using several molds or a larger mold. If you choose the last option, when the soap has cooled down, you just have to cut the contents of the mold into several pieces with a knife and separate them slightly so that they can dry well.

Be very careful when handling caustic soda and keep children and animals away from the room where you will make the soap. Always use protective goggles and even a mask and gloves, as this is a very corrosive substance. If, however, a few drops land on your skin, you should immediately apply a little vinegar.

Another very simple recipe.
There is another recipe without a headache, simpler but just as homemade! Simply get a transparent glycerine or light colored soap tablet. Melt it in a bain-marie and add a few drops of lavender essential oil and lavender flowers. When the mixture still hot, pour it into a pan, then let it cool down!.
