Why and how to exfoliate the skin?

Exfoliation is the removal of dead cells. Although the skin does it by itself on average once a month. As a matter of fact, it is important because, over time, this process becomes increasingly slow and rare. Additionally, the dead cells then remain on the surface of the epidermis and prevent the growth of the new cells. So we need to deal with it and use different methods and recipes to help the body in this process of elimination.

Now that you know that skin exfoliations are important (at least two or three times a week), we will teach you some simple, effective and economical recipes to moisturize and exfoliate your skin.

The carrot

Mix a carrot, mix the resulting juice with a moisturizer and apply it on your hands, feet, and face. You can do this during your bath. Rinse thoroughly with water.

Lemon for elbows

This area is the one we mostly abandon. Yet you should give it as much importance as the rest. Cut a lemon in half and massage yourself with trying to soak up as much juice as you can on the elbows. Leave on for a few minutes and rinse the lemon with baby oil. The best exfoliate mask.

aspirin

Melt an effervescent tablet of aspirin in a glass of water, soak a cotton of this liquid and rub it on your face. This will act as an astringent!

Sugar

Generally speaking, pour a few spoonfuls of sugar into a pot, add a little hand cream and massage your arms, hands, and feet with it.

Exfoliate

Steam

Boil a liter of water, lean your head over the container and let steam soak your face for 5 minutes. This will open your pores, and you will be able to eliminate your blackheads and dead cells.

Honey

Mix a spoonful of honey with two ground almonds and add half a spoonful of lemon juice. Make a face mask with, then rinse with lukewarm water. To be done once a week. The papaya

Use a slice of papaya without seeds, purée and apply it on your face. Papaya contains papain, an enzyme that dissolves fat and removes dead skin cells.

Grape oil for cellulite

Together with, 2 spoonfuls of grape oil, 7 grams of cornflour add 4 drops of lemon juice into a bowl. Mix until you get a homogeneous paste that you apply to the hips and muscles by doing circular massages. This will also help you decrease cellulite.

oats
Mix 3 spoons of ground oats with a ¼ liter of milk, soak a few pieces of cotton in this preparation and remove. The cotton will allow the liquid to be thicker. Then make a mask with the mixture obtained.

The clay

Olive oil

Equally important, take two spoonfuls of olive oil and mix them with a spoonful of salt. Salt will cleanse your body while the oil will make your skin softer.

Honey, lemon, and sugar

Mix these 3 ingredients in equal amounts until a homogeneous paste is obtained. Apply it over the entire body by making circular massages with your hands.

Coffee

The coffee also contains interesting exfoliate benefits. Mix a little coffee in moisturizer, apply it all over the body, massage and rinse thoroughly with water. For more tips read our blog

Baking soda
In the long run, this recipe is more than easy: mix a little bit of baking soda with water to form a paste that you apply all over your body.

The banana

This recipe is ideal for oily skin! Mix a very ripe banana, 3 spoonfuls of sugar and ¼ of a bag of vanilla extract. Apply this mixture over the entire body and massage. Furthermore, it is important to do the massage in a circular way and from bottom to top. Rinse with lukewarm water.

Coconut oil and brown sugar

Finally, this mixture is very good for your body as it allows to hydrate and to relax. In short, thanks to its texture and its smell. Mix half a cup of coconut oil with half a cup of brown sugar and massage the body with it. Rinse with lukewarm water.
